Method

  1. Butter an oven-safe stainless steel frying pan with the unsalted butter.
  2. In a large bowl, work the salted butter with a spatula until creamy, then add the brown sugar.
  3. Add the egg, flour, baking powder, salt, and vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. Cut the chocolate into small chips, then add it to the mixture without overmixing.
  5. Spread the mixture in the buttered pan in the shape of a large cookie.
  6. Bake at 180°C (360°F) for 20 minutes.

  • 10 g (2 tsp) unsalted butter
  • 130 g (3/5 cup) brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp liquid vanilla extract
  • 140 g (1 cup) flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 150 g (5.3 oz) dark chocolate (65%)
